Healthy Recipes
I love this Recipe website called Real Mom Kitchen. She just put up a post of healthy recipes. I'm so excited. I'm getting a bit bored with the same ol' stuff we've had this week. Let us know if you try any and enjoy it, and I'll do the same.
Things Arik ate this week were Turkey meatballs w/ wheat pasta, grilled chicken & baked yam fries, chicken parmesan (not breaded) with broccoli, wheat pancakes & turkey bacon & eggs, spinach breakfast burrito, chicken salad (with salsa, blackbeans & avacado), turkey sandwich. There are so many different ways to prepare food, that it doesn't need be boring. More ideas that are on the menu is honey chicken stir-fry and salsa chicken tostadas. Anyway, I tried to make a hummus dip today for veggies as a snack. It didn't turn out too bad, but I like Erin's better. And, we made yummy smoothies for a dessert tonight: banana, kiwi, yogurt, honey, ice, blackberries. Mmmmmm. And, the food network has 40 healthy recipes that look amazing under their "healthy eating" section. Check that out too! Happy cooking! LOVE YOU!
Sounds good Juli, keep it up. I've eaten good things, but just wanted some new ones. I looked at that food network healthy recipes the other day when you gave us that website, it looks yummy. My thing is that our serving sizes are small and so I have a hard time making a whole meal. I'll have to just try it and eat it throughout the week or freeze some.
